What inspired you to work in this field?
During difficult seasons of my own life, I have experienced healing and growth by working with a supportive therapist. I was inspired in the beginning of my education in this field to learn that counselors and therapists are sometimes referred to as “wounded healers”; our own struggles foster a deepened sense of empathy and drive to lead others on their own journeys of healing.
What do you enjoy in your free time?
I thoroughly enjoy spending time in my backyard with my hands dirty from gardening and surrounded by chickens, my beloved basset hounds, and my sweet little beagle. My husband Jerry and I spend many evenings by our bonfire, swinging and chatting about life and the newest DIY project plans.
Currently accepting self-pay, CIGNA, and Medicaid (Anthem, Optima, Magellan & Aetna) insurance.
